Miners to make Big North East Debut Wednesday July 14, 2010
The 2010 Miners tasted the thrill of victory versus the Schulkill County Coal Crackers at home to kickoff the season giving the Miners a 1-0 record nationally but now have to get ready for their next challenge. The Miners will battle the Lehigh Valley Storm in their first road game of the 2010 season and make their professional debut in the Big North East Football Federation (BNEFF). The Miners having played in the NAFL and RAFL in past seasons united with other Pennsylvania teams to compete in the growing Big North East. The BNEFF showcases many of the best teams on the East Coast, a AAA and AA tier of football teams and is competing to be the best league nationally. Twenty four hours have long passed since the Miners last second triumph and now have to focus on becoming Road Warriors and zero in on the Keystone Region and a Southeast division title starting with the Storm. If game one was any indication of what the Miners football season is about, our fans are in for a good one. GO MINERS!
